• Business-Improvement Techniques (B-IT) NVQ Level 2

Employees are the heart of every business and their performance has a direct impact on productivity and profitability. The National Skills Academy for Manufacturing's NVQ in Business Improvement Techniques (B-IT) is inspired by the world's leading manufacturing organisations and empowers employees to improve performance in cost, quality and delivery and ensure these improvements are sustained.

• Who is the programme for?

This programme enables those working in a manufacturing business to undertake improvements aimed at reducing cost, minimising waste and improving productivity. B-IT is equally applicable across various company sizes and sectors. Any manufacturing organisation can benefit from this programme.

• B-IT at Level 2 is directly applicable to individuals who:

• require a core knowledge of business improvement techniques
• have some background knowledge and wish to gain experience of applying these techniques within a team
• are already using business improvement techniques and would like to gain a recognised qualification to demonstrate their competence
• progression to Level 3 NVQ

• Duration

NVQs are awarded on evidence collected within the workplace. The collection of evidence required for the B-IT Level 2 can be achieved within 12-26 weeks.

• Coaching and Assessment

Each candidate is partnered with a qualified expert who coaches the candidate in the application of the programme and assesses the evidence generated against the agreed national standard. (Group/individual coaching and assessment)
