  • Response To Redundancy

The Response to Redundancy Programme is a fully funded programme for those aged 19+ who are at risk of redundancy or have been made redundant or unemployed for less than six months. The programme is made up of a number of parts. These being:

  • Initial assessments [Literacy/Numeracy/ICT] (1 day)
  • CV Building (1 day)
  • Forklift Theory (2 days)
  • Forklift Practical (3 days)

In order to qualify for the programme, learners are required to undertake an induction which will include completion of initial assessments in literacy, numeracy and ICT. This is followed by a 1 day programme designed to give you the skills and knowledge for completion of a CV.

Upon completion of those parts you will do your 2 days forklift theory followed by the 3 days practical.

  • The forklift training

We offer training packages for novice and experienced Forklift Truck operators. We are nationally recognised with the National Plant Operators Registration Scheme (NPORS).

The forklift courses we offer are flexible within both the theory and practical elements. On completion of the training you will leave with a worthwhile forklift truck qualification which is fully recognised by the HSE and complies with legislation within England.

Examples of industrial and construction trucks we cover:

  • Counter-balance
  • Reach

At the end of your training, forklift truck operators will know how to:

  • Identify the components of the type of lift truck they will be operating
  • Inspect their trucks for signs of wear and tear
  • Operate their truck in a way that complies with health and safety legislation

  • Types of Training

Novice Training is for 'first time' or inexperienced operators. Covering the operation of mechanical handling equipment within a warehouse environment. It forms part of the legal requirements for fork lift truck operators and integrates with practical training.

Conversion is for the operator who has a licence to drive one type of lift truck but not the other. All aspects of the trucks safety are fully covered.

Refresher training is for experienced operators and provides training to the required standard.

The forklift courses we offer are flexible within both theory and practical.
