- Warehousing Apprenticeships
If you have left school recently,
or are about to, you're probably thinking about what to do next.
A career in Warehousing will give you great job opportunities
and whilst you are training you get paid - so you can earn while you learn.
You can choose to do either an Apprenticeship or an Advanced Apprenticeship depending
on your qualifications.
Whilst working towards the qualification you will work
on the following mandatory units:
- Maintain health, safety, and security in logistic operations
- Develop effective working relationships with colleagues in
logistics operations
Also six from the following:
- Provide customers with information and advice on goods and services
- Operate equipment to perform work requirements
- Move goods in logistics facilities
- Receive goods from deliveries
- Place goods in storage
- Maintain the safety and quality of goods
- Maintain the safety of hazardous goods and materials
- Maintain hygiene standards in handling and storing goods
- Process orders for dispatch to customers
- Assemble orders for dispatch
- Dispatch goods for delivery
- Process returned goods
- Sort goods and materials for recycling
- Manage the receipt, storage, or dispatch of goods
- Audit stock levels and stock records

- Why choose to do an Apprenticeship?
An Apprenticeship lets you work with an employer
whilst completing your course. So you get the best of both worlds - a
chance to earn money whilst gaining an industry recognised qualification.
An Assessor will support you throughout your training.
You will attend our local Bristol based training centre on a day release and your training can
be adapted to suit you and your employer. What's more we'll help you to find an employer
if you don't have one already.
If you don't have the qualifications, experience or
confidence to do an Apprenticeship straight away you can do a
pre-apprenticeship
programme.
You will work towards nationally recognised
qualifications. We offer continuous support and advice throughout
your training and an opportunity for excellent career progression.
