  • Adult NVQ's in Engineering

NVQ's are nationally recognised qualifications which are designed to assess current competencies by acknowledging employees skills and experience. There is an extensive range of NVQ's for those working within the fields of engineering, high technology and manufacturing.


  • These NVQ's Include:

  • Aeronautical engineering - for those working in aircraft fitting, airframe fitting, installing aircraft interiors, etc.
  • Electrical and electronic servicing - Those servicing residential or commercial appliance either on site or at the customers premises
  • Engineering design - For those working in any number of design roles
  • Engineering installation and commissioning - aimed at staff working in a wide range of installation and/or commissioning roles
  • Engineering Maintenance - For engineering maintenance personnel
  • Engineering production - Aimed at those involved in assembly, casting, composites, fabrication, fitting, machining, etc.
  • Engineering woodworking, pattern and model-making - Those involved in engineering woodworking, pattern and corebox production
  • Fabrication and welding engineering - Semi skilled and skilled workers involved in fabrication and welding engineering
  • Instrument service - A new NVQ for those carrying out servicing and repair activities, including clock and watch servicing
  • Management - Suitable for managers, supervisors, and team leaders
  • Mechanical Manufacturing Engineering - For semi skilled and skilled mechanical manufacturing operations
  • Specialist plant and machinery operations - For operators of lift trucks, including counterbalance, reach trucks, side loaders, very narrow aisle, Pedestrian/rider pallet stackers
  • Technical services - Anyone involved in a technical support role including planners, estimators, quality controllers, inspectors, testers, technical buyers, contract engineers, technical authors, materials schedulers, applications engineers and stock controllers
  • Performing manufacturing operations - Usually aimed at operators performing routine repetitive operations
