  • Pre-Apprenticeship Programmes

These are foundation or entry level course for young people who could have the potential to join your organisation as apprentices but aren't quite ready for the full programme. Pre-Apprenticeships gives you the opportunity to take a trainee on a work placement. We will support you through any development needs you or the trainee may have in assisting them to progress to Apprenticeships.

There are three main parts to the pre-Apprenticeship programme


  • Personal Development

This includes social skills and confidence building, and will help to address past or present issues that might affect progress and future achievement.


  • Functional Maths, English and IT

Our expert tutors will work to develop core skills needed for the workplace and show learners how to apply them to the working environment.


  • Work Experience

This is an opportunity to gain experience in a working environment. This can be in an office, creative environment or any other environment that will help learners gain the skills and experience they need.

  • How does the Pre-Apprenticeship Programme work?

It is a roll-on, roll-off programme. Those taking part can choose the length of programme depending on their individual needs and requirements.


  • Qualifications

The courses lead to nationally recognised qualifications and are designed mainly for young people wishing to access mainstream Apprenticeships, Further education or employment with training.


  • Where are courses held?

The courses are available at our Bristol centres at Dean Street and Lawrence Weston.
